The One and Only
Lukewarm has nothing to do with justification but with people who are preaching a different gospel, one that includes a mixture of law and grace. The opposite of faith is certainty not doubt. The rich young ruler was certain in his own ability to reach eternal life. Grace is something only God can give, man cannot do it on their own.

Just one problem, Jesus doesn't write to a group of Unbelievers, He writes the letter to the Church. The Church is not a building that you can fill up with people, saved and unsaved. It is the People! It is the Body of Christ, the Called Out Ones. It is to these, believers, members of the Body, that Jesus writes and warns them that He will spit them out of His mouth. People take this one letter to the church and make a doctrine out of it. To claim Luke warm Christians aren’t saved isn’t in the verse. Hebrews says that God disciplines true sons and the last part of the letter to them says this19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am!
