So what I'm getting from this is, Oumuamua was our warning shot, that yes, the universe can extinct us in a single shot with no warning, so we had better damn well spread out while we still can.
JCBs Sailing Into the Sunset
Microbes flying through space on debris of planets destroyed by collisions would occur sometimes…but this would be a very minute amount of life very, very rarely gets transported this way then the odds of it depositing it on a planet conducive to that type of life makes for a highly improbable event then for any of that life to survive the trip or landing or be able to grow to begin with…If an apple landed in the middle of the ocean an apple tree would most likely never grow there and the chances of it landing in a boat with… Read more »

My opinion is panspermia is not impossible, but still does not answer the question how life is evolve on the first place. And if its evolved once, then its just more likely it could evolve multiple times at multiple places. Last but not least: multiple forms.

Hey John. I appreciate the videos and the new channel. Thanks for sharing. While I agree that interstellar panspermia is unlikely today, due primarily to the approach velocities involved, lets not forget that our system did not form in isolation, but amongst a large cluster of sister stars. We see evidence of life on Earth nearly 4 billion years ago. It's interesting to speculate that life arose in our closely packed birth cluster, where interstellar velocities may have been more similar to transfer velocities in the current solar system. Perhaps an older sister star in our star cluster developed life that… Read more »
