What about the society that is based on logic and reason….? That is neither God/religion, "other" law, or self law… The Natural Law Theory is very different than a God law. Some would even go as far as to say that the heteronomous law is inclusive of religion as opposed to the religion being a part of the theonomous. But I agree, autonomous is more hazardous, but must be where we begin.
