I was taught to be a Christian in school but my dad already knew all the bullshit and hypocrisies of the Bible and religion (yes he read the Bible many times when he still had one)

How many of those who believe that Jesus Christ once existed, would believe him if he did indeed return in the flesh today?

They just touch briefly on why I think religion exists and why so many people believe. Comfort and answers. Death scares a lot of people, people for the most part don't want to die. Science can't tell you if anything happens to some aspect of you(ie a soul) after death, it can't tell you if you even have some spiritual element. There's no comfort in that. Religion DOES tell you what happens after you die. In fact, in the largest and most popular religions you get told that there is something after your body dies. How nice, the one thing… Read more »
